In an effort to keep student spirit and participation high, I open the floor to you (students, staff, anyone!).

What sorts of events, activities, clubs, and more, would you like to see the school have? Please leave me a comment in the journal - if you want anonymity, just send me a private message.

Professor McGonagall and I were thinking about having a Spring Fling Carnival the first weekend of spring - there would be candy, games, and perhaps even rides. Would you students be interested in this? I know I'm just a bit older than you, and I'd like to not lose my touch on what the younger population is into.

I think a carnival would be fun Professor. The grounds are big enough for a rollercoaster or a ferris wheel. Maybe have some competitions with muggle sports? Something that wouldn't be too hard for the kids that don't know it to learn, like football or something?

I am completely uneducated on muggle sports - I'm going to assume that football involves a ball and your feet?

Yes sir. It's the ball that's black and white and there's goals on either side of the field. You have to get the ball in the opposing team's net using either your feet or your head, no hands. I can bring a book by your office if you'd like?

That sounds difficult, using no hands. Yes, I'd like to see a book, maybe we could have a field day sort of competition with each house yielding teams for a few sports and events.

It is a little bit. I used to play at the school I went to before Hogwarts. I'll bring a book by your office after classes. I think a field day would be brilliant!
